Hazelnut Iced Coffee

This recipe gives a rich, nutty sweetness to your favorite iced coffee drink. Hazelnut flavoring adds a nutty element to your simple syrup, which pairs beautifully with a strong dark roast coffee.

Ingredients

1 cup water

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon corn syrup
-
1 tablespoon Ann Clark Hazelnut Flavoring

Ice
-
¾ cup strong or cold brew coffee

1 tablespoon Hazelnut Syrup
-
½ cup whole milk or milk alternative of choice

Directions
Hazelnut Syrup:
Boil water, sugar and corn syrup on high heat in a medium saucepan.
Lower heat to medium-low and let simmer, until slightly thickened, 5-8 minutes.
Pour into a heat proof container and cool completely at room temperature.
Once cooled, add the Ann Clark Hazelnut Flavoring, until combined.
Coffee Assembly:
Fill a 12-ounce glass with ice (about 1 cup).
Pour coffee and hazelnut syrup to taste over the ice.
Top with milk.

Notes & Tips:
- To make ahead: Make the syrup ahead of time and store in airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
- Adjust the amount of hazelnut syrup to your liking
- Serve with any choice of coffee---dark or light, decaf or regular
- Serve with any type of milk - whole milk, oat milk, coconut or soy milk are all great choices
