Cupcakes
Cupcakes are always a hit. If you're hosting a gender reveal, coloring vanilla cake either blue or pink and piping the top with swirls of blue and pink buttercream is an adorable way to bake a surprise into the first bite.
For a baby shower, simple cupcakes are always a hit. Speed up the process with a cake mix-the Ann Clark vanilla and chocolate mix will be a hit-and you'll be able to use the time you saved to decorate for the big day.
Cake Pops
What's not to love about cake pops? They are so easy to make and offer a perfect bite-sized treat for your guests.
For a gender reveal, make our standard cake pop recipe with vanilla cake. Add either blue or pink dye to the mixture, and coat with melted white chocolate chips. Roll in sprinkles and voila! A delicious surprise in each pop.
For a standard baby shower, use chocolate and vanilla cake as well as chocolate and vanilla coating to create decadent bite-sized treats.

If you want to bake cookies for a gender reveal, use the ideas above, but before adding designs, pipe a layer of blue or pink royal icing on the cookie before adding the decoration. Wait for the icing to dry before adding the decorative elements. Adding blue or pink colored icing will show up as a layer as people bite into these adorable cookies.
Another great cookie idea (that takes a lot of the work out of it) is to have a decorating station for cookies. Whip up a few batches of sugar cookies in shapes that fit your theme, and invite guests to decorate their own. Be sure to provide a rainbow of royal icing colors, sanding sugar, and sprinkles to make their cookies pop.

Place the fruit in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze these until solid, and pop them into a punch bowl or water carafe for an elegant addition to your spread.
