This buttery streusel topping adds the perfect sweet crunch to Ann Clark’s Blueberry or Cranberry Muffins. Create a satisfying contrast to the soft, fluffy muffin with just a few pantry staples to elevate your muffins to the next level.

Ingredients

2/3 cup (93 grams) all-purpose flour

½ cup granulated sugar

½ teaspoon ground spice, such as cinnamon, cardamom or nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon sea salt

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
Equipment needed: None
Directions
Stir flour, sugar, spice and salt together in a small bowl.
Drizzle the melted butter into the small bowl, using a fork combine the ingredients until it clumps together.
Sprinkle onto your muffins before baking.
Evenly, press dough into the prepared pan. Using a fork, make marks evenly throughout the dough. Sprinkle evenly decorating sugar, if desired.
Place in the preheated oven, until browned on the top and edges, about 45 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool for about 30 minutes, then remove from the pan and slice.
