Buttermilk Glaze

This glaze is delicious on any baked good, but pairs exceptionally well with Ann Clark Lemon Poppyseed Scones. The addition of buttermilk gives this subtly sweet glaze its unmatched tang.

Ingredients

1 cup powdered sugar, sifted

2 tablespoons cultured buttermilk

1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter

½ teaspoon vanilla extract or paste

Directions
Whisk powdered sugar, buttermilk, butter and vanilla, until smooth, in a medium bowl.
Recipe Note
Notes & Tips:
- To make ahead: Store in airtight container until ready to use.
- Sub 1 ½ tablespoon whole milk & ½ teaspoon lemon juice if you don’t have buttermilk
